During the period July 1-August 15, 2012, the export volumes of wheat from the Russian ports totalled nearly 1.8 million tonnes.
In particular, in July Russia exported 1.2 million tonnes of the grain, and during the first half of August 2012 - nearly 687,800 tonnes.
The leading position in shipments of Russian wheat is occupied by the deep-sea port of Novorossiysk, which grain terminal already exported nearly one million tonnes of the grain. In the reporting period, the volumes of wheat supplies from the port of Rostov-on-Don totalled 255,500 tonnes, Yeysk - 215,500 tonnes, Azov - 187,200 tonnes, Tuapse - 165,400 tonnes, Taman - nearly 112,000 tonnes.
Russia supplied 470,900 tonnes of wheat to Turkey, nearly 263,000 tonnes to Egypt, and 106,200 tonnes to Israel.
Besides, it is worth noting the growth of transit shipments of wheat to Ukraine, which during the reporting period totalled 376,300 tonnes (251,600 tonnes in July and 116,900 tonnes in the first half of August). In particular, 245,700 tonnes of wheat transit to Ukraine were shipped from the port of Rostov-on-Don, another 112,700 tonnes - from Taganrog.
