No feed wheat offers for Japan during auction

Japan did not receive any offers for feed-quality wheat, despite seeking for 120,000 tonnes of the crop during a simultaneous buy-and-sell auction that concluded on August 19, according to the country's Ministry of Agriculture.

The delivery, if fulfilled, is expected to reach Japan by January 29 next year.

The ministry will attempt to secure the same amount in an upcoming tender to be held on August 26.

Japan acquires a small portion of feed wheat through SBS auctions in which end-users and importers state origin, price and quantity of grain, allowing millers to meet their varied needs for feed grain.
