Ukraine exports 40% more grains in 2014/15
 

 

Ukraine's 2014/15 grain exports increased about 40% more on-year as of August 14, reaching 3.3 million tonnes, including 1.34 million tonnes of barley, 1.55 million tonnes of wheat and 366,000 tonnes of corn, the agriculture ministry said.

 

Ukraine, which is targeting its second bumper harvest in a row, has said it hopes to keep exports in the current season to end-June 2015 at around last season's level of about 30 million tonnes.

 

Farms harvested 34.4 million tonnes of grain as of August 13, including 23.8 million tonnes of wheat and 9.2 million tonnes of barley.
