Russia's July poultry, pork output rise, beef down
In July, Russia has produced 233,000 tonnes of poultry, up 8.9% on-year but 1.7% less than in June, the federal statistics service said Wednesday (Aug 17).
Poultry output in the first seven months of the year rose 8.6% on the year, it said, without providing tonnages.
In the same month, Russia produced 66,100 tonnes of pork, up 12.1% from July 2010 and 1.5% more than in June. Pork output in the first seven months of the year increased 7.7% on-year, the federal statistics service said, without providing tonnages.
Also in July, beef output in Russia is at 14,100 tonnes, down 15% on-year and 11.7% less than in June.
Without providing tonnages, the statistics service said beef output in January-July fell 10.3% on the year.
