Brazil pork and poultry processor Aurora to test its workers for COVID-19

Brazilian labour prosecutors in Santa Catarina said Central Cooperativa Aurora Alimentos, the third biggest pork and poultry processor in Brazil, will test its workers for COVID-19, Reuters reported.

The company will test all 11,000 workers for the virus, according to a settlement signed with Aurora.

Aurora was identified as the source of the shipment of exported frozen chicken wings with traces of COVID-19 coronavirus in Shenzhen, China.

Aurora will conduct COVID-19 tests on its workers at its Guatambu, Xaxim and two Chapecó facilities using the RT-PCR method.
