Dairy market in search of direction
 
Batavia, NY - Following several consecutive weeks of sizeable declines, dairy product prices were mixed this week. Block Cheddar cheese prices managed to gain 11.50 cents, a partial rebound from the 55-cent decrease last week. Nonfat dry milk and dry whey prices inched up; they gained one-cent and one-half cent, respectively. Meanwhile, barrel cheese and butter prices continued their nearly month-long retreat.
