China says pork recalled in Shenzhen has no pig disease
China's government said pork recalled in Shenzhen city, Guangdong province, had tested negative of the streptococcus suis pig bacteria, which had recently killed nearly 40 people in Sichuan province.
Shenzhen's local authorities said the recall was a precautionary measure. They had also reportedly posted notices at some housing estates promising refunds to residents who surrendered pork that they bought from the markets.
