CPF unveils Q2 2023 revenue

The chief executive officer of Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) Public Company Limited, Prasit Boondoungprasert, has announced the company's operating results for the second quarter of 2023, with its sales revenue at  ฿150,246 million — 62% of which were attributed to operations outside Thailand and 38% to operations within the country.

The cost of production has increased due to higher prices of raw materials used in producing animal feed. Additionally, regional swine prices were lower than last year. As a result, CPF suffered a net loss of ฿793 million (US$22,368).

For the second quarter, the company's operating results did not meet its target due to an increase in the cost of meat production. Furthermore, CPF's gross profit dropped from the previous year.

Nevertheless, CPF expects that its performance will improve in the second half of this year.
