Russian wheat export reaches US$1.13 billion
 

Russia exported 10.22 million tonnes of wheat from Jun 2005 to Jul 2006, amounting to US$1.13 billion.

Egypt, who imported 2.65 million tonnes, was the largest buyer of Russian wheat for the second consecutive season.

Bangladesh came in second with 932,600 tonnes of Russian wheat imported. Azerbaijan was third with imports at 822,300 tonnes.

Other major importers of Russian wheat include Pakistan, which tripled wheat imports, and Georgia.
