China Live Hog Weekly: Tight supply, high pork import tax drive up hog prices (week ended Aug 3, 2018)
Prices of hog climbed at a slower rate of 1.5% following the previous week's almost 5% upsurge, as buyers turned cautious. Pork carcass volumes dipped 1.95% to 7,527 tonnes in the major markets of China, strengthening the prices by the same magnitude to RMB17.73/kg.
