Romania's dairy producer Albalact triples profit in H1 2014

 

 

 

Romania's dairy producer Albalact ended the first half of 2014 with a net profit of US$4 million, tripling year-on-year from US$1.32 million, according to the company's report.

 

Albalact is one of the biggest dairy producers in Romania. The company's main competitors domestically are French groups Danone and Lactalis and Dutch group FrieslandCampina.

 

Albalact recorded a higher turnover of US$68.74 million up from US$61.57 million on-year. The company's operating income amounted to US$76.81 million, while operating expenses rose to US$72.71 million.
