Cargill appoints new global technology director for pork

 

 

 

Cargill's animal nutrition business has appointed Brooke Humphrey as global technology director for pork at the company's innovation campus in Elk River, Minnesota, US.


Humphrey is currently the monogastric R&D director (pork and aqua) at the campus and has an essential role on the nutritional science team which operates across Cargill's animal nutrition and protein businesses. He has previously overseen R&D efforts into poultry, ruminant, pet, equine and modeling back in 2011.


Humphrey joined Cargill in 2010, and has an expertise in working across different species with a focus on nutritional immunology. Before that, he was a professor at the University of Maryland and California Polytechnic State University, US, for seven years.


Humphrey holds a doctorate in nutrition and a master's degree in animal science from the University of California, Davis, US. He also possesses a bachelor's degree in animal science from California Polytechnic State University.
