Marel North America moves forward with online demos

In June, the Marel team at the Innovation Center in Des Moines, Iowa, the United States, hosted a successful online live demonstration of its coating line, Marel said in an August press release.

A large processor in North America has expressed interest in the coating line with a specific focus on the RevoBreader. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, Marel's team came together to host a live demonstration for the client, with the demo streamed through Microsoft Teams.

"Being able to show our customers how the equipment works, live, helps them visualise the success it can bring to their operations," Marel said. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, such demonstrations have also become more relevant than ever in reinforcing the relationship with clients.

The Innovation Center team, along with product management and sales, started preparation for the live demonstration, with equipment being brought in to be set up and tested. Chicken products provided by the client contribute to the conduct of the live demonstration to be as realistic as possible. Cameras and computers were brought in to capture the different angles of the demonstration.

Staff of the North American processor tuned in live from multiple locations throughout North America to see how the Marel coating line and RevoBreader could work for them. Members of the Innovation Center team ensured the equipment performed as expected. Marel's sales and product management teams also presented the equipment and interacted with the staff.

"At the end of the event, the customer had seen, from all angles, the coating line solution and felt confident in Marel's capabilities when the presentation was concluded. The company was well informed now how the equipment works and can perform to their desired expectation," Marel said.
