Brazil may purchase Lithuanian wheat in 2021

Now that Brazil's government has authorised another supply alternative, the country's millers could broaden their wheat imports next year and buy from Lithuania, said Sodrugestvo's sales head, Reuters reported.

Douglas Araújo, the sales head at Russian trading company Sodrugestvo made the statement on Thursday.

The first such purchases are not expected until 2021 due to bureaucratic hurdles, he said during a conference call organised by Brazil's wheat millers association Abitrigo.
