China VB6: Prices rise further (week ended Aug 6, 2023)

Vitamin B6 market strengthened further amid tightened availability.

Exiting the market, DSM shut down its vitamin B6 plant in Shanghai while Tianxin Pharmaceutical halted operation for 8-10 weeks for routine maintenance.

Export prices strengthened to US$17.40/kg.

Transacted prices in the local market strengthened to the range of RMB124-142/kg.

Vitamin B6 market is set to stay firm on the back of low availability.
