Grain prices show increase in Ukraine's domestic market
Due to the grain export ban in the Russian Federation, prices for grains on the domestic market of Ukraine increased, said Leonid Kozachenko, the President of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation.
L. Kozachenko stated that after the decision of Russia to ban grain export trading, the prices on the inner market of Ukraine started growing. During one day, the prices for all grains increased by nearly UAH150/tonne (US$19).
According to him, to date, on the domestic market, milling wheat prices total UAH1,600/tonne (US$203). Meanwhile, he noted that the government will probably change the forecast for grain production in Ukraine, due to the unfavourable weather conditions.
