Ukraine meat production up 12.6 percent in June
                        


Meat enterprises in Ukraine got in June as production on the first category went up by 12.6 percent or 9,129 tonnes to 81,457 tonnes, compared with May.


In January-June 2009 however, production of meat and by-products of the first category fell by 5.9 percent or 27,183 tonnes, compared with January-June 2008, to 431,692 tonnes.

 

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in May, meat processing enterprises rose production of meat and by-products of the first category by 0.9 percent or 611 tonnes to 72,328 tonnes, compared with April.

 

In 2008, compared with 2007, production of meat and by-products of the first category rose by 1.2 percent or 10,714 tonnes to 925,800 tonnes.

 

In 2007 production of meat and by-products of the first category made up 915,086 tonnes.
