Vietnam exports most seafood to Japan in H1

 


Vietnam earned nearly US$1.3 billion from farm produce exports to Japan in the first half of 2010, with seafood being the largest shipment totalling $368.8 million, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said recently.


Other major export items included paper and paper products, fruits and vegetables, and handicrafts worth $42.4 million, $16.7 million and $16.2 million.


In addition, Vietnam exported $3.8 million pepper and $2.2 million worth of cashew nuts to Japan.


A total of 11 major items of Vietnamese agricultural products has been exported to Northeast Asian country in the period.
