China lysine market stays stable, lacks momentum

Lysine prices remained unchanged during the week ending August 7.

Lysine market remained stable despite slow sales amid sluggish hog feed demand. As supplies were limited due to routine maintenance, lysine producers were not eager to lower prices. Nonetheless, producers of 70-percent lysine were more willing to give discounts amid ample availability.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were at RMB4.80-5/kg.
