Lower supply holds China methionine market stable
Prices of methionine remained stable during the week ending August 8.
Methionine availability decreased entering August, helping to hold up prices. Nonetheless, while feed producers remained cautious, demand for methionine was not particularly strong although prices of poultry products strengthened of late.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine stayed in the range of RMB21.50-22.50/kg.
