DSM pursues patent infringement lawsuit against Anhui Tiger

Royal DSM, together with its two related operating group companies, DSM Vitamins (Shanghai) Ltd. and DSM Vitamins Trading (Shanghai) Ltd., is in the midst of pursuing a patent infringement lawsuit againsta competitor, Anhui Tiger Biotech Co., Ltd.
The lawsuit, which was served on August 2, is a result ofmisappropriation of intellectual property pertaining to the production of a key ingredient of Biotin (also known as Vitamin B7 and Vitamin H).
According to their complaint, DSM seeks an injunction preventing Tiger from using an innovative patented process for the 'environmentally friendly' manufacture of a key ingredient in Biotin. Additionally, DSM seeks monetary damages that resulted from Tiger's infringement.
