Ukraine's June meat production up 0.6%

 

 

Ukraine's production of meat in live weight grew by 0.6% in June or 1,300 tonnes to 212,100 tonnes, compared to May.

 

Production of meat by private farms went up by 7.4% or 5,200 tonnes in June, compared to May, to 75,700 tonnes.

 

Specialised farms decreased meat production by 2.8% or 3,900 tonnes to 136,400 tonnes.

 

In June 2012, meat production fell by 1.3% or 2,800 tonnes compared to June 2011.

 

In January-June 2012, comparing to January-June 2011, the production of meat reduced by 1% or 14,300 tonnes and made up 1,437,800 tonnes.

 

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in May, the production of meat in live weight fell by 25.6% or 72,700 tonnes to 210,800 tonnes, compared to April.

 

In 2011, comparing to 2010, meat production increased by 3.4% or 99,700 tonnes and made up 3,025,100 tonnes.
