China Methionine Weekly: Prices inflate as renminbi depreciates (week ended Aug 6, 2018)
A weak renminbi resulted in lower imports of methionine on the one hand, and stimulated export sales on the other hand. Consequently, methionine availability tightened in China, prompting producers to lift prices over the week even as domestic demand remained slow.
