Russia and Belarus expand meat exports to Vietnam
Up to 69.5 tonnes of frozen pork and by-products from the Tomsk province of Russia have been exported to Vietnam, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus announced that businesses in the country will conduct inspections to export beef to Vietnam, Vietnam Net reported.
These shipments meet the sanitary and veterinary regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Vietnam's veterinary requirements.
The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) inspected the batch, confirming that delivery is carried out using three modes of transportation - road, rail, and sea. Each shipment is accompanied by veterinary certificates agreed upon with the importing country.
In 2024, a total of 192.8 tonnes of pork from Tomsk has been exported to Vietnam, compared to 77 tonnes last year.
Representatives from the Department of Animal Health under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam are visiting Belarus to conduct a veterinary inspection of beef production from July 29 to August 2, 2024.
During their visit, Vietnamese experts will assess the production process, quality control systems, and safety of the products at several companies in the provinces of Minsk, Brest, and Grodno.
