Ukraine grain exports show decrease
In July 2010, Ukraine exported 700,000 tonnes of grains, as compared to nearly 1.5 million tonnes in the same period last year, according to Viktor Slauta, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.
V. Slauta also commented that in the next 2-3 weeks, prices for grains on Ukrainian and the world markets will lower as the present prices are speculative.
Meanwhile, the vice prime minister noted that the Agrarian Fund is tasked to purchase 4-5 million tonnes of grains.
