No shift in pork prices for Vietnam's northern region in span of two days 

 

 

 

Vietnam's August 2 pork prices in the northern region of the country has seen no change from August 1.

 

The price of pork on August 2 in the region was trading at ₫61,000-63,000/kg (US$2.56-2.65).

 

Localities, such as Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang, are trading at ₫60,000/kg (US$2.52), after a decrease of ₫1,000/kg (US$0.04).

 

Following a reduction of pork prices by ₫2,000/kg (US$0.08), traders in Hanoi purchased the meat at ₫60,000/kg (US$2.52).

 

₫61,000/kg was the purchase price of pork recorded in Thai Nguyen and Thai Binh, after a  drop of prices by ₫1,000/kg (US$0.04).

 

Meanwhile, pork price on August 2 in Vietnam's Central region and Central Highlands decreased slightly in some places compared to August 1.

 

Specifically, Ha Tinh and Binh Dinh provinces are purchasing at a price of ₫59,000/kg (US$2.48) after a drop by ₫1,000/kg (US$0.04).

 

₫59,000-61,000/kg (US$2.48-2.56) is the price range recorded in the remaining localities.

 

Pork prices on August 2 in Vietnam's southern region remained stable compared to August 1.

 

After a drop of prices by ₫1,000-2,000/kg (US$0.04-0.08), the provinces of Hau Giang and Bac Lieu traded pork at ₫58,000/kg (US$2.44).

 

In Can Tho, the purchase price is ₫57,000/kg (US$2.39).

 

Localities, including Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Dong Thap and Ca Mau, purchased a combined price of ₫60,000/kg (US$2.52), the highest in the region.

 

The price of live pork on August 2 in the southern region is trading in the range of ₫57,000-62,000/kg (US$2.39-2.60).
