Armenia's meat and sausage production declines 13%

In Jan-June 2010, meat and sausage production in Armenia declined by 12.8% to 1,666.9 tonnes as compared with Jan-June 2009.

The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that in Jan-June 2009, meat and sausage production totalled 1,911.6 tonnes. In Jan-June 2010, meat production declined by 13.7% to 18,347.8 tonnes as compared with Jan-June 2009.

Earlier in January to May 2010, Armenia's meat production including sausage products had also fallen, as compared to the similar period in 2009, by 10.6%. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the production of meat food fell to 1,387.2 tonnes.
