China allows export from Vietnam's Saigon Dairy Factory
China has granted a Vietnamese factory with a transaction code to export its dairy products to the country, according to Vietnam News Agency citing the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Xinhua reported.
Saigon Dairy Factory, under the Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), has obtained the code from the Chinese General Administration of Customs on Monday, which allows the plant to export flavoured fermented milk to the Chinese market, the news agency said.
Five Vietnamese companies and factories, including TH True Milk, Hanoimilk, Bel Vietnam and Vinamilk's Thong Nhat Dairy Factory, have been permitted to sell dairy products such as sterilised and modified milk, fermented and flavoured fermented milk, cheese, and condensed milk to China so far, according to the news agency.
Vietnam announced the export of the country's first batch of milk products to China in October last year.
