Aviagen hosts successful technical customer focus team meeting in Turkey

Press release

Aviagen, the world's leading poultry breeding company, held the second Ross Distributor Customer Focus Team Meeting and a nutrition workshop at Anatalya, Turkey, in May.

The event was specially designed to meet the demands of the Middle Eastern and African marketplace, and technical representatives of Ross Distributors from both regions attended.

These technical representatives are charged with working closely with the distributors' local customer focus teams servicing Ross's customers in the region to maximise product performance and business benefits for the whole production chain.

The series of meetings and seminars act as a forum that enables distributors to formulate plans to solve a range of customer issues, including avian influenza that remains a global concern.

At the seminar, delegates got the opportunity to share concerns and hear about the latest bio-security measures, as well as learn from the experiences of those working in markets that were previously affected by bird flu. In addition, the events covered the latest information on nutrition and hatchability, egg handling and hatchery management, and male management.

The seminar also presented an opportunity to foster closer relationships with the local customer focus teams and identify local industry leaders within the region.

Aviagen's nutrition workshop focused on building relationships with a network of nutritionists within the region, and looked at ways to enhance product performance using nutrition strategies.

Bruce Evans, Regional Technical Manager Middle East and Africa, commented, "The seminars and workshops have been a great success, and were very interesting and valuable for us and our customers. Providing forums for us and our distributors and customers to learn through shared experiences over the years has been invaluable and contributed to successful market growth. This year's event was well attended and feedback has been positive."
