Paraguay may resume meat exports to Chile

A meeting was held between Paraguay's Minister of Agriculture, Enzo Cardozo Jimenez, and his Chilean counterpart, Minister Luis Mayol, to determine the resumption of meat exports to Chile's market.

Chile is keen to re-import meat from Paraguay soon, which will result in a decrease in the price.

All health issues required by the Chilean government were actually saved, and what remains is a final report to be sent to Chile by Paraguay and for Chilean supervisors to vist Paraguay.

Locally, the meat industry is looking forward to recovering the level of production and exports, which have been lost with the suspension of imports to various markets, including the most important, Chile.

The bilateral meeting was held in Santiago, Chile.
