China issues rules for inspecting US beef imports
On Jul 31, China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) issued a set of standards for inspecting imports of US boneless beef from cattle younger than 30 months old. US beef will be allowed into China if they meet these standard import requirements.
China Quality Control Bureau have ordered the country's inspection and quarantine departments to adhere strictly to this set of standards so as to ensure that only safe US beefs are delivered to Chinese consumers.
