Tight availability underpins China lysine prices

Lysine prices moved higher during the week ending July 30.

Sluggish hog feed demand decimated production, hence curtailing the sales of lysine. Nonetheless, producers stood firm while supplies diminished due to production cuts and routine plant maintenance during summer.

For imported 98.5-percent lysine, transacted were higher in the range of RMB9.90-10.40/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1469 (Aug 1)
