Lacklustre demand softens China lysine prices despite imminent supply cut
Lysine prices were mostly lower during the week ending July 31.
Demand for lysine was slack with hog feed consumption limited by low animal numbers. Although several producers have scheduled for plant maintenance in August, some likely to cut output by as much as 25%, prices of lysine lacked momentum to move higher.
Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were at RMB4.90-5/kg.
