Market analysis
Overall demand for aqua feed slowed as coastal regions were disrupted by stormy weather. With ample supplies in stock, feed millers reduced procurements while demand was limited. Meanwhile, choline chloride producers lowered prices amid low ingredients costs in efforts to boost sales.
Choline chloride prices, which have dropped considerably by around 5% since mid-June, will be more resistant to downward pressure in the coming period. Additionally, buoyant demand from the aquaculture sector will lend support to market even as hog sector registered slow sales. However, with buyers staying prudent while China's economy shows signs of weakening, choline chloride market is less likely to strengthen prominently during August.
