Vietnam's major feed producers slash prices by up to VND200/kg in July as producers move to ease farmer pressure

The price reductions, which took effect in waves from 1 July 2026, cover swine, broiler, layer and aquafeed product lines across both multinational and domestic feed companies operating in Vietnam.

A broad wave of animal feed price reductions swept Vietnam's feed market in July 2026, with leading producers including C.P. Vietnam, De Heus, Japfa, Dabaco, Greenfeed, ANT, Haid, Tongwei and BGF cutting prices by a standard VND200/kg (US$0.008/kg) across most swine and broiler feed lines, as companies moved to share input cost pressures with livestock farmers.

BGF was among the first to act, implementing a VND200/kg across-the-board reduction from 1 July across its BIGRFEED facilities in Hung Yen, Binh Dinh and Vinh Long. C.P. Vietnam followed from 8 July, reducing layer feed by VND160/kg and all other feed lines by VND200/kg, applicable to all customer groups except Vinamilk. Greenfeed applied a direct discount of VND200/kg on swine, broiler and cattle feed and VND160/kg on layer feed from 7-11 July. Japfa reduced swine and broiler feed by VND180/kg and layer, quail and cattle feed by VND160/kg from 13 July, with no end date specified.

Dabaco's Kinh Bac plant cut layer, duck, quail and replacement flock feed by VND160/kg from 11 July, with concentrate and other livestock and poultry lines reduced by up to VND200/kg. ANT reduced all swine, broiler, duck, quail, cattle and goat feed by VND200/kg and layer feed by VND160/kg from 9 July. Haid applied a tiered reduction from 11 July, with sow feed down VND100/kg, other swine and duck feed down VND160/kg, broiler feed down VND120/kg and layer and laying duck feed down VND80/kg. Tongwei cut swine and broiler feed by VND200/kg and duck feed by VND160/kg from 13 July.

The deepest cuts came from Anco/Proconco, which launched a month-long support programme from 1-31 July offering reductions of up to VND400/kg on selected swine and broiler product codes, with VND200/kg applied across other lines. VinaFeed Mien Bac also applied an aggressive reduction of VND800/kg on its specialist product code 440 from 2 July, with all other lines cut by VND200/kg.

The concurrent price reductions across both multinational and domestic producers reflect easing raw material costs following a volatile first half, and signal a broader effort by the industry to support livestock farmer margins at a time when live hog and poultry prices have remained under pressure in Vietnam.
