Trouw Nutrition appoints two new Asia Pacific executives

Trouw Nutrition Asia Pacific announced that it has in June appointed BK Chew as regional director Feed Additives, and Heng Aik Jin as general managerTrouw Nutrition Asia Pacific Export.

BK has many years of experience in the animal nutrition and additives industries. Most recently, he was global key account director at Adisseo Bluestar. Before that, he worked at Nutriad International as regional director Asia Pacific and at Alpharma Animal Health as regional director sales and marketing Asia Pacific.

BK is overall accountable for expanding Feed Additives business in Asia Pacific, whilefocusing on specific countries and key account management roles. He is also part of the regional Feed Additives leadership team and leads the technical teams of Indonesia and Vietnam.

BK holds a Bachelor of Science major in Animal Science from Purdue University and graduate study qualifications in Reproductive Physiology and Endocrinology at the University of Idaho.He will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Heng joined the Trouw Nutrition Asia Pacific Cluster as regional procurement head in 2017.Prior to joining Trouw, he worked at Kemin Industries (Asia) Pte Limited as regional manager Southeast Asia and Taiwan.Before that he was the Feed Ingredients South East Asia manager of Connell Bros Company (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.

Heng will be primarily accountable for the overall performance of the Trouw Nutrition Asia Pacific Export. Heng holds a MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University and a BA in Southeast Asia Studies from University of Malaya, Malaysia.He and his family will relocate from Indonesia to Bangkok, Thailand at the end of 2020, given current international travel restrictions.
