Thai Union appoints new CFO, Chief Digital Officer and Chief Strategy Officer to drive Strategy 2030

The three appointments take effect in August and are intended to strengthen Thai Union's financial discipline, digital transformation and execution of its 2030 strategic priorities.

Thai Union Group has appointed Ratiporn Ratcharoen as Chief Financial Officer, Daniel Laverick as Chief Digital Officer, and Sumit Narang as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, effective August 2026, as the Thai seafood conglomerate moves to reinforce the leadership capabilities needed to deliver its Strategy 2030 agenda.

Ratiporn Ratcharoen succeeds Ludovic Garnier, who moves to the role of Managing Director, Finance, for Thai Union's Ambient Branded business. She joins with senior finance leadership experience across Osotspa, East-West Seed, Diageo, PepsiCo and Minor International, including Group CFO roles covering financial strategy, capital allocation, governance and transformation. Her mandate at Thai Union will focus on strengthening performance management, improving capital allocation and modernising forecasting and business intelligence across the group. She joins on 17 August.

Sumit Narang joins on 1 August with more than 20 years of experience across Walmart, McKinsey and C.K. Birla Group. At Walmart he led global sourcing strategy across more than 70 countries. As Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, he will work with the CEO and business leaders to translate Strategy 2030 into execution across Thai Union's business units and identify growth opportunities.

Daniel Laverick also joins on 1 August, bringing more than 25 years of experience in enterprise digital transformation from senior roles at Etihad Airport Services, Zuellig Pharma and Albatha Group. As Chief Digital Officer, his mandate covers modernising technology platforms, scaling automation and advanced analytics, and building AI-ready capabilities across the organisation.

Thiraphong Chansiri, President and CEO of Thai Union Group, said the three appointees brought deep international experience in transformation programmes and would help build a more forward-looking, digitally enabled organisation capable of competing in a rapidly changing global market.
