WTO supports China in US chicken import case

China, in its dispute with the US over an effective ban on Chinese chicken imports, has been favoured by a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel, a Chinese source said Tuesday (July 27).

The WTO issued a ruling in the poultry dispute to the two parties on Monday (July 26), but it remains confidential until it is published in a couple of month's time.

There was no official comment from Chinese or US authorities. The Chinese source who is familiar with the ruling, however, said the case went well.
