Russia's June barley exports up 1.8 times
The Russian Federation, in June 2012, exported 366,900 tonnes of barley, a rise of 1.8 times compared to May 2012, according to data of the customs statistics.
At the same time, in June 2011 export trading with the grain was absent at all.
In the reporting month, the main volumes of barley were shipped to Saudi Arabia (305,200 tonnes). The weighted average price of export contracts totalled US$241/tonne (US$243/tonne in May).
During 2011-12 marketing year (MY) Russia exported 3.6 million tonnes of barley, against 267,400 tonnes in 2010-11 MY.
