China's Yaoxin builds beef cattle breeding-cum-processing plant in Jiangsu

China's Xuzhou Yaoxin Animal Husbandry Company and a Taiwanese joint-investor has invested RMB1.2 billion to establish Huai'an Yaoxin Animal Husbandry Co Ltd in Xuyi, Jiangsu province.  

Covering an area of 100 hectares, the new cattle breeding-cum-processing plant will be built in Xuyi's Heqiao township. The company's main production activities will include the breeding of beef cattle (Bos Taurus), fattening, beef processing and sales.

Initial investment for the first phase will amount to RMB290 million. When completed, it will be able to supply 200,000 heads of quality beef cattle as well as processed beef products to neighbouring Huai'an, Yancheng, Suqian as well as the eastern region of Anhui province.
