South Korea Kocopia Buys 52,500 MT Corn From Cargill In Tender

Korea Corn Processing Industry Association, or Kocopia, bought 52,500 metric tons of optional-origin corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Friday, said a Kocopia official.

The South Korean group bought one cargo of corn and will pay $154.70 per ton, cost and freight basis, if the corn is from the U.S. or South America. If the corn is of Chinese origin, the company will pay $10/ton less, the official said.

The cargo is set to arrive at the port of Incheon Dec. 10.
