Poland sees 21 ASF outbreak so far this year
To date, 21 outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) have been reported in Poland in 2024, according to the country's Chief Veterinary Inspectorate.
The 21st outbreak was reported in the municipality of Jaroslawiec, Zamosc county, Lublin province.
Most of the outbreaks (10) have been in Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, followed by Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship (six), Lubelskie (two), Zachodniopomorskie (two), and Mazowieckie Voivodeship (one).
In July, the outbreaks affected from 12 to more than 2,700 pigs.
