Croatia allocates US$8.4 million to help farmers affected by ASF

Croatia has set aside €7.5 million (US$8.4 million) to support farmers impacted by African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks, the agriculture ministry said.
ASF is currently confirmed on 112 farms in the country. The most affected farms are in three municipalities in the Vukovar-Srijem county, eastern Croatia, the ministry said in a press release on July 18.
At the end of June, the ministry said it detected an outbreak of ASF, the first case of the disease on record in the country.
