EFSA's ASF campaign extended for third straight year
The European Food Safety Authority's (EFSA) "Stop African swine fever" campaign has been extended for the third consecutive year.
The campaign will address farmers, veterinarians and hunters. With the assistance of local farmers' groups, veterinary organisations, hunting associations and other relevant bodies, the campaign aims to raise awareness about how to prevent the spread of African swine fever (ASF).
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts by EFSA, the European Commission and other international bodies to halt the spread of ASF in the European Union and neighbouring countries.
The campaign is run in partnership with local authorities in eighteen countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
