Philippines importer group issues tender for 240,000 metric tonnes of corn

An importer group in the Philippines has issued an international tender to purchase up to 240,000 metric tonnes of animal feed corn, according to European traders, Reuters reported.

The tender specifies that the corn should arrive in the Philippines in four consignments.

One 70,000-tonne consignment was sought for arrival between October 16-31, one of 60,000 tonnes for between November 1-15, one of 60,000 tonnes for between December 16-30 and another of 50,000 tonnes also for December 16-30 arrival.

Traders noted that it is possible not all consignments will be purchased.
