IGC set latest forecast for global corn output in 2024/25 at 1.225 billion tonnes

The International Grains Council (IGC) has raised its forecast for 2024/25 global corn production by two million metric tons to 1.225 billion tonnes.

The inter-governmental body, in its monthly update on July 18, also increased its 2024/25 world wheat crop outlook.

IGC's outlook for wheat was raised by eight million tonnes to 801 million tonnes.
