China's pork production rose 3.2% in H1 2023

China's pork production and hog slaughter were up in the first half of 2023, according to the country's National Bureau of Statistics.

Pork production increased by 3.2% in the period. Additionally, at the end of the second quarter, the number of pigs registered in stock was 435.17 million, up by 1.1% year on year.

375.48 million pigs were slaughtered, up by 2.6% in the first half of this year.
