Malindo feed mill to increase poultry feed production by 50%
PT Malindo Feedmill will increase its poultry feed production capacity in Indonesia by more than 50% from its current output of 900,000 tonnes per year, with its new feed mill in Semarang Central Java and another upcoming one in Makassar.
Rewin Hanrahan, director of Malindo, said the Semarang feed mill would have a production capacity of 360,000 tonnes per year, while the company is targeting the same production capacity for the Makassar feed mill.
The construction of the Semarang feed mill is nearly completed and once operational, the company's output capacity will increase by 50%, according to Corporate Secretary Rudy Hartono Husin.
Another 20% increase will come from the Makassar feed mill, which will commence construction in the fourth quarter of 2014 and will be finished in 2015.
