Jordan tenders to buy 100,000 tonnes feed barley
Jordan's Ministry of Trade and Industry said Monday it is tendering to buy 100,000 tonnes of feed barley, of any origin, on a cost and freight basis.
Jordan is looking to buy 50,000 tonnes of barley for shipment until August 31 and another 50,000 tonnes for shipment during the first half of September, Muhannad Ghesh, senior importer at the ministry, told Dow Jones Newswires.
The deadline for bids is August 1, he said.
Jordan last bought barley on July 19, when it purchased 50,000 tonnes from Glencore at US$318.50 a tonne.
