Diamond V's director of food safety microbiology speaks in 75th anniversary video

Wrapped up in 75 years of experience in the animal, feed and food industries, and helping farmers and food companies feed people safely and responsibly, Diamond V reiterates its organisational commitment towards animal health and well-being as a vital first step in developing an effective pre-harvest food safety programme.

Dr. Evan Chaney, PhD, Director of Food Safety Microbiology at Diamond V, who participated in the annual meeting of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) this year, said, "Once the commitment is there, then we can see that action manifest through effective management programmes, including biosecurity practices, sanitation programmes, data collection and analyses, and utilisation of current science-based knowledge.

In celebration of the momentous year, the company also began producing a monthly video series titled, "Diamond V at 75: Immune Strength for Life", which highlights its scientific research, technical expertise and vision for the future. This month, the video encompassed an interview with Diamond V's content marketing manager, Kevin Corizzo.

With organisational commitment and management programmes in place, then direct intervention technologies can approach maximum efficacy, said Dr. Chaney. [CE1] "Over time, this reduces environmental pressure and infection pressure within life animal production, and makes management programmes more effective," Dr. Chaney added.

The "Diamond V at 75" video series will continue throughout the year with on-site interviews with the company's experts at major industry events.
